Job Description: **Job Title:** Data Engineering Lead **Role Summary** Lead design and optimization of scalable data infrastructure, integrating AWS and Snowflake ecosystems to drive data reliability and performance. Mentor mid-level engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data solutions with business objectives. **Expectations** 5–10 years of hands-on data engineering experience, proven leadership in cloud data initiatives, and expertise in Snowflake and AWS. Strong technical and architectural decision-making capabilities. **Key Responsibilities** - Lead design/implementation of ETL/ELT pipelines on AWS and Snowflake. - Architect integrated data ecosystems across AWS services (S3, Kinesis, RDS) and Snowflake. - Optimize Snowflake performance via clustering, warehouse tuning, and cost controls. - Implement DataOps practices for CI/CD, code quality, and automation. - Mentor mid-level engineers through reviews and technical guidance. - Partner with Product, Finance, Analytics to develop data models and schemas. - Enforce data governance, IAM security, and compliance protocols. **Required Skills** - Expertise in Snowflake (Snowpipe, Streams, Tasks, Secure Data Sharing). - Advanced AWS proficiency (S3, Lambda, Glue, IAM). - Strong Python/Java and advanced SQL skills for data transformation. - Experience with dbt or equivalent tools. - Leadership in managing teams or technical cloud/migration projects. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. - Certifications in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect) or Snowflake preferred but not mandatory.
