Job Title: Intern, Community Relations
Role Summary:
Summer 2026 internship focused on fan engagement and community outreach for a professional hockey franchise. Responsible for supporting off‑site and on‑site events, facilitating grassroots programs, collecting and managing fan data, assisting with fundraising activities, and performing clerical duties to support the Community Relations team. Requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays aligned with the game and event calendar.
Expectations:
- Work schedule driven by event calendar and home‑game schedule.
- Maintain professional, enthusiastic presence with fans, community members, and team staff.
- Demonstrate strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
- Use data responsibly and maintain confidentiality of fan information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with setup, execution and breakdown of community‑facing events (e.g., Community Events Tour, @School Program, Street Hockey Program, and home‑night activities).
- Prepare and stock team vehicles for events; set up interactive games and distribute promotional items.
- Collect, enter, and store fan data after each event; ensure accuracy and compliance with data policies.
- Support planning, solicitation, and execution of fundraising initiatives, including golf outings for the Children’s Foundation and in‑game raffles.
- Facilitate street hockey and floorball programs, including hosting, documentation, and basic coaching assistance.
- Perform clerical tasks: sort mail, data entry, donation fulfillment, and organization of department storage.
Required Skills:
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable engaging with customers and fans.
- Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Strong collaboration, time‑management, and multitasking abilities.
- Outgoing, enthusiastic, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college enrollment or recent graduation preferred.
