Job Description: Job title: Network Engineer Role Summary: Remote network security engineer providing operational support and configuration management for client-managed firewalls, VPNs, proxies, and cloud networking environments. Responsibilities include device upkeep, incident troubleshooting, change management, documentation, and on‑call rotations. Experiences: • 3+ years in network operations and 1+ year in network security (firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS). • Proficient in TCP/IP, BGP routing, and cloud networking (AWS, Azure). • Strong client‑management skills with clear, concise verbal and written communication in English. • Self‑motivated, able to plan, prioritize, and meet deadlines independently. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and patch firewall, proxy, VPN, and other security appliances (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper, F5). • Execute change‑management procedures and document all actions for audit trails. • Troubleshoot network incidents and provide escalation support to lower‑tier teams. • Validate infrastructure changes in lab/sandbox environments and analyze security advisories. • Participate in on‑call rotation and technical knowledge transfer. • Keep technical documentation current and ensure consistency across support teams. Required Skills: • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (BGP), and cloud networking. • Experience with firewalls, proxies, IDS/IPS, and VPN technologies. • Ability to perform device testing, patching, and performance validation. • Excellent written and oral communication in English. • Self‑managed, deadline‑driven, and flexible scheduling. Required Education & Certifications: • Cisco CCNP (or equivalent). • Palo Alto PCNSA (or equivalent). • CompTIA Security+ or equivalent. • Cloud vendor certifications (AWS, Azure) are a plus.
