**Job Title**
DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary**
Design, implement, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and observability solutions on Azure to accelerate software delivery, ensure reliability, and strengthen security across development, test, and production environments.
**Expectations**
- Drive end‑to‑end automation of build, test, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (Development, QA, Tech Ops, Security) in Agile/Scrum settings.
- Continuously improve tooling, documentation, and release practices.
- Resolve deployment issues promptly and document root‑cause analysis.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Build and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines (31% of time), create YAML templates, and migrate IaC from ARM to Terraform.
- Script automation utilities in Python, PowerShell, or Bash to reduce manual effort.
- Provision, configure, and manage Dev, QA, UAT, and Production environments; define tagging, configuration, and versioning standards.
- Maintain DataDog dashboards, metrics, and alerts; integrate static‑code analysis tools (e.g., Veracode).
- Document release procedures, rollback steps, and runbooks; support incident response and post‑mortem processes.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, retrospectives, and knowledge‑sharing sessions to promote continuous improvement.
**Required Skills**
- CI/CD platform: Azure DevOps (ADO).
- IaC: Terraform (Azure); familiarity with ARM/Bicep.
- Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash (any).
- Cloud: Azure (preferred); knowledge of AWS or GCP acceptable.
- Containerization: Docker; AKS or Azure Functions preferred.
- Monitoring & observability: DataDog, log aggregation, APM, synthetic monitoring.
- Security integration: static code analysis, basic DevSecOps practices.
- Agile/SAFe experience; strong communication and documentation skills.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Administrator Associate strongly preferred.
