Job Description

**Job Title** Intern, System Validation – Co‑Packaged Optics **Role Summary** Support the Post‑Si Validation team in verifying that optical interconnect products meet component and system specifications. Perform automated and manual testing, analyze data, and contribute to product improvements under senior engineer mentorship. **Expectations** - Conduct independent test activities and deliver project outcomes on schedule. - Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional engineers. - Demonstrate strong motivation, self‑management, and problem‑solving skills. **Key Responsibilities** - Implement product improvements using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) and bench characterization. - Operate and interpret results from test tools such as BERT, DCA, and OSA. - Evaluate signal quality metrics (e.g., TDECQ, SRS, URS). - Develop and maintain Python scripts for test automation and data analysis. - Assist in high‑speed SerDes characterization and optimization. - Support optical transceiver packaging integration efforts. - Document test procedures, results, and recommendations. **Required Skills** - Familiarity with component and system test equipment (BERT, DCA, OSA). - Understanding of standard signal quality metrics (TDECQ, SRS, URS). - Knowledge of high‑speed SerDes concepts and characterization. - Proficiency in Python or similar language for automation and analysis. - Basic knowledge of optical transceiver packaging (preferred). - Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Currently pursuing a B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
