Job Description

Job title: Infrastructure Intern Role Summary: Assist global Infrastructure Services teams with the life‑cycle management of Windows and Linux servers, virtual compute, network, security, and unified communications environments. Gain cross‑functional exposure while supporting day‑to‑day operations and infrastructure projects. Expectations: - Proactive, eager learner willing to take on increasing responsibilities. - Follow guidance from senior team members and work with a manager on professional development. - Participate in multiple technology areas (network, security, compute) through rotations. Key Responsibilities: - Support daily IT infrastructure operations and incident response. - Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows and Linux platforms. - Assist with OS deployment, virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMware, KVM), and Active Directory / Group Policy management. - Contribute to network and security tasks: firewall, VPN, proxy, SIEM product upkeep. - Develop and maintain scripts (PowerShell, VBScript, Python) for automation. - Document procedures, incidents, and configuration changes. - Collaborate with Network/Telecom, Security, and Compute teams. Required Skills: - Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS & Server, Linux, and basic OS deployment. - Familiarity with virtualization, Active Directory, Group Policy, LAN/WAN, firewalls, SIP, SIEM. - Ability to troubleshoot PC hardware/software and basic network connectivity. - Scripting experience in PowerShell, VBScript, or Python. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with curiosity to apply technology to business challenges. Required Education & Certifications: - Current student pursuing a degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field. ---
