Job Description
**Job title** Senior Project Engineer **Role Summary** Senior Project Engineer supports project managers in planning, coordinating, and administering construction projects. The role manages RFIs, submittals, contracts, change orders, bidding, scheduling, quality control, VDC coordination, and safety/LEED compliance. **Expectations** - Deliver project documentation, schedules, and reports accurately and on time. - Maintain high safety standards, quality, and sustainability standards. - Provide clear communication to stakeholders and mentor junior staff. **Key Responsibilities** - Process and track RFIs, submittals, and document changes; maintain document control logs. - Assist in bidding and buyout activities: scope delineation, bidder outreach, bid leveling. - Review field inspection reports, communicate deficiencies, and track trade performance versus schedule. - Prepare submittal schedules, identify required submittals, and resolve deficiencies. - Coordinate VDC activities using Revit, Navisworks, and other tools. - Record and distribute meeting minutes; maintain project progress photographs. - Perform on-site QC coordination with trades; manage jobsite GRs. - Promote safety best practices, OSHA compliance, and LEED sustainability requirements. - Provide other project-related duties as assigned. **Required Skills** - Advanced knowledge of document control, RFIs, submittals, and information flow. - Understanding of contracts, purchase orders, claim resolution, and warranty terms. - Proficiency in surveying, scheduling, drawings, construction sequencing, and VDC coordination tools (Revit, Navisworks). - Working knowledge of MS Office, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, and Navisworks. - Basic change‑management and short‑interval schedule development. - Strong written and oral communication; presentation skills. - Team collaboration, basic leadership, and customer‑focus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience. - OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred. - LEED Green Associate (GA) preferred.
