**Job title:** AWS Cloud Network Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, architect, and oversee the implementation of secure, scalable, and highly available networking solutions on AWS for enterprise clients. Serve as the technical design authority for cloud networking initiatives, ensuring alignment with best practices, security standards, and business objectives.
**Expectations:**
- 8–10 years of experience in network architecture, preferably with deep AWS exposure.
- Proven track record delivering complex, multi‑region cloud networking designs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and validate end‑to‑endpoint networking architectures (VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPN, etc.) that meet performance, security, and compliance requirements.
- Act as the Technical Design Authority, guiding cross‑functional teams on networking decisions, standards, and trade‑offs.
- Collaborate with solution architects, security teams, and operations to integrate networking designs into overall cloud solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend networking tools, services, and automation to improve deployment velocity and operational efficiency.
- Document network designs, diagrams, and runbooks; maintain architecture artifacts in a consistent format.
- Stay current with AWS networking services, feature releases, and industry trends; proactively propose architecture enhancements.
**Required Skills:**
- In‑depth knowledge of AWS networking services: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPN, CloudFront, Route53, Security Groups, NACLs, and ACLs.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, sub‑netting, BGP, MPLS, routing protocols, load balancing, and DNS.
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code (IaC) tools—AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK—focusing on networking components.
- Proficiency with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning on AWS.
- Ability to design for high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; capability to translate complex network concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty (mandatory or equivalent proven expertise).
- Additional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional or CCNP/CCIE Networking highly desirable.
