Job Description: **Job Title:** Cyber Security Specialist **Role Summary:** Actively monitor and protect organizational networks, systems, and data assets from security threats. Quickly detect, investigate, and remediate security incidents, ensuring that vulnerabilities are resolved rather than merely reported. **Expectations:** - Persistent vigilance over network, endpoint, and cloud environments. - Immediate response to alerts, with thorough incident analysis and root‑cause determination. - Maintain and update security controls, policies, and response playbooks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Continuous monitoring of security information and event management (SIEM) data for intrusions. - Conduct real‑time threat hunting and log analysis. - Perform incident triage, containment, eradication, and recovery. - Install, configure, and manage security tools (IDS/IPS, firewalls, EDR, etc.). - Create incident reports, post‑mortem analyses, and actionable remediation plans. - Collaborate with IT operations, compliance, and risk teams to strengthen defenses. **Required Skills:** - Deep knowledge of network and system security fundamentals. - Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar). - Experience in intrusion detection, malware analysis, and forensic techniques. - Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving under pressure. - Scripting (Python, PowerShell) for automation and investigation. - Excellent written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, GIAC, or comparable). ---
