Job Description
**Job Title:** Fire & Security Systems Engineer **Role Summary:** Design, install, commission, and maintain fire detection, alarm, access control, CCTV, and integrated security systems for commercial and industrial sites, ensuring all solutions meet regulatory and safety standards. **Expectations:** - Deliver projects within agreed timelines and budgets. - Maintain high quality and safety standards throughout project lifecycle. - Communicate effectively with clients, architects, contractors, and internal teams. - Provide post‑installation support and documentation. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop system specifications and design drawings in line with BS 9999, BS 5834, and other relevant standards. - Prepare cost estimates, schedules, and project plans. - Coordinate installation, commissioning, and hand‑over activities. - Conduct testing, verification, and final acceptance of fire and security systems. - Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and fault diagnosis. - Prepare technical reports, manuals, and compliance documentation. - Advise clients on upgrades, system integration, and regulatory changes. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in fire protection and security system design and installation. - Familiarity with fire alarm panels, CCTV, access control, and integrated control systems. - Ability to read and interpret electrical and architectural drawings. - Strong project management and organizational abilities. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Analytical and problem‑solving mindset. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical discipline. - Professional certifications (e.g., ISA, NEC, or equivalent fire safety qualification). - Valid UK driving licence (preferred for site visits).
