Marketing Internship
**Role Summary**
A full‑time summer internship focused on supporting marketing, events, and internal communication initiatives. The intern will assist in planning and executing employee engagement events, trade shows, and social media campaigns while managing the company’s employee storefront. Key responsibilities include event logistics, branded content creation, budgeting, vendor coordination, and inventory oversight.
**Expectations**
- Duration: June 9 – August 29 (flexible with academic calendar)
- 40 hours per week (flexible)
- Collaborate across marketing, communications, design, operations, and finance teams
- Deliver actionable insights, clear updates, and maintain brand consistency
- Actively learn and adopt new tools and best practices in digital media and event management
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Event Support** – Shadow and assist with logistics for internal and external events (regional days, charity, partner, and employee‑resource‑group events).
2. **Trade Show Support** – Coordinate show‑run logistics, registration, vendor communications, branded materials, onsite setup/breakdown, and compliance.
3. **Content Support** – Contribute to social media graphics, digital campaign assets, video production, and competitive trend research.
4. **Employee Storefront Management** – Support operational, financial, and creative functions: vendor negotiations, budget tracking, product ordering, inventory forecasting, and store updates.
5. **Branded Merchandise Creation** – Design and develop merchandise that reflects brand identity, review proofs, coordinate production, and ensure compliance.
6. **Invoicing & Product Tracking** – Audit vendor invoices, monitor purchase activity, and ensure accurate billing and coding.
7. **Customer & Internal Communications** – Provide clear status updates, order timelines, and training materials for storefront usage and brand kit compliance.
8. **Collaboration & Presentation** – Communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to managers and cross‑functional teams.
**Required Skills**
- Strong organizational and time‑management abilities
- Creativity with a keen eye for detail in visual and written content
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic design and layout skills (Adobe Creative Suite or similar preferred)
- Ability to conduct research, analyze trends, and recommend actionable insights
- Budgeting and financial tracking skills
- Vendor and inventory coordination experience (or willingness to learn)
- Team‑oriented mindset with adaptability to changing priorities
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field.
- No specific certifications required; familiarity with marketing analytics tools and design software is advantageous.
