**Job Title:** Market Executive Director **Role Summary:** Lead the strategic planning, clinical, financial, and operational direction of off‑campus emergency departments (OCEDs). Drive delivery of high‑quality patient care, ensure regulatory compliance, manage resources and budgets, and foster collaboration across clinical, administrative, and external partners. **Expectations:** - Deliver measurable improvements in patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction. - Maintain fiscal discipline while achieving organizational ROI. - Build and sustain a cohesive, high‑performing workforce. - Engage clinicians, vendors, unions, and community representatives to align on quality goals. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute departmental strategic plans in partnership with executive leadership. - Create and adjust staffing plans to meet evolving patient volume and acuity. - Oversee capital and operational budgets; allocate resources to support priorities. - Implement clinical policies, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. - Ensure compliance with JACHO, DOH, labor, and confidentiality regulations. - Analyze data, identify trends, and resolve patient complaints and grievances. - Mentor and coach nursing and support staff; establish performance metrics. - Partner with marketing to publicize services and strengthen community relations. - Liaise with governing bodies, hospital leaders, and external stakeholders. **Required Skills:** - Advanced nursing knowledge and clinical judgment. - Proficiency in healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and labor relations. - Strategic leadership, staff management, and delegation. - Financial acumen: budgeting, cost control, and ROI assessment. - Quality improvement and Lean/Process‑Mapping expertise. - Data analysis, reporting, and evidence‑based decision making. - Project management and cross‑functional collaboration. - Strong verbal and written communication; stakeholder engagement. - Adaptability to change, initiative, and independent problem solving. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related healthcare field. - Master’s degree in Nursing or Healthcare Administration strongly preferred. - Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Washington preferred (licenses in other specialties acceptable). ---
