**Job title:** AWS Cloud Engineering Team Lead
**Role Summary:** Lead a Cloud Operations team within the financial sector to maintain, optimize, and secure AWS infrastructure and product components. Drive incident response, service improvement, and cost governance while mentoring staff and ensuring adherence to ITSM and security standards.
**Expectations:** • 10+ years of infrastructure and AWS engineering experience
• 5+ years of hands‑on AWS service deployment (IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, KMS, VPC, Cognito, Config, SCP, CloudTrail, VPC Endpoint, Quick Suite)
• Proven Terraform expertise for infrastructure as code
• Strong AWS networking knowledge (Transit Gateway, Route 53, firewall)
• Leadership capability in troubleshooting, escalation, and stakeholder communication
• Familiarity with FinOps, cost‑management, and cloud security practices
• Ability to peer‑review code, enforce best practices, and improve operational efficiency
**Key Responsibilities:** • Oversee day‑to‑day Cloud Operations, incident handling, and service request resolution
• Lead troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and resolution of escalated user issues
• Conduct regular code reviews of AWS‑centric infrastructure code (Terraform, CloudFormation) for accuracy and stability
• Implement and maintain security controls, compliance checks, and cost‑management dashboards
• Mentor and manage Cloud Engineering team members, setting objectives and performance metrics
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, deliver updates, and manage expectations
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives for operational efficiency, automation, and process refinement
**Required Skills:** • Advanced AWS service knowledge (IAM, EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, RDS, KMS, VPC, Cognito, Config, SCP, CloudTrail, VPC Endpoint, Quick Suite)
• Terraform infrastructure design, deployment, and maintenance
• AWS networking (Transit Gateway, Route 53, firewall)
• ITSM processes, incident management, and service desk operations
• Cloud security, governance, and FinOps best practices
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills
• Team leadership and mentoring experience
**Required Education & Certifications:** • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional (preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
