**Job Title:** Senior DevOps Engineer – Kubernetes
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and operate scalable, secure Kubernetes platforms (primarily AWS/EKS) to support development, staging, and production workloads. Drive automation, observability, and self‑service tooling to enhance developer velocity and system reliability.
**Expectations:**
- 5+ years in SRE, Infrastructure, or DevOps with a strong focus on Kubernetes.
- Proven experience managing production Kubernetes clusters on AWS/EKS.
- Proactive ownership, automation mindset, and ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Comfortable in fast‑paced, collaborative environments.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architect, provision, and maintain Kubernetes clusters across environments.
- Develop and maintain IaC (Terraform/Pulumi) and deployment tooling (Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD/Flux).
- Optimize autoscaling, pod scheduling, and resource allocation for performance.
- Implement security controls: RBAC, network policies, OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno, runtime security.
- Build and maintain observability stack (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki) and associated alerting/runbooks.
- Create and support fault‑tolerant, high‑availability designs and recovery procedures.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and platform teams to evolve self‑service infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
**Required Skills:**
- Kubernetes (EKS) administration and troubleshooting.
- IaC: Terraform or Pulumi.
- CI/CD and GitOps: Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD or Flux.
- Scripting/Programming: Python, Bash, or Go.
- Monitoring & logging: Prometheus, Grafana, Loki.
- Security & policy: RBAC, network policies, OPA/Gatekeeper, Kyverno.
- Familiarity with service meshes (Istio, Linkerd) is a plus.
- Strong problem‑solving, automation, and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CKA, CKAD, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) are advantageous but not mandatory.
