Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Director of Internal Controls Over Financial Reporting **Role Summary:** Oversees financial control frameworks to ensure SOX compliance, optimize operational efficiency, and mitigate regulatory risks in a retail environment. **Expectations:** - Lead design, implementation, and monitoring of internal controls aligned with SOX and COSO standards. - Execute deficiency remediation, risk assessment, and compliance reporting for key financial processes. - Coordinate cross-functionally with finance, IT, and operations to embed controls and support audit readiness. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and maintain ICFR framework, including RCM documentation and SOX 302 certification controls. - Identify and prioritize remediation for control gaps (e.g., revenue recognition, inventory, cash handling). - Collaborate with internal and external auditors for testing, walkthroughs, and risk assessments. - Deliver training on compliance protocols and prepare reports for leadership on control effectiveness. - Innovate control automation and data analytics to enhance monitoring and compliance efficiency. - Manage team development, succession planning, and execution of high-impact projects (e.g., system integration, sustainability reporting). **Required Skills:** - Expertise in ICFR, SOX compliance, and ERP/retail POS systems. - Proven cross-functional leadership in retail or consumer-focused industries. - Strong project management capabilities (e.g., dashboard creation, Gantt/Smart View tools). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred). - 10+ years in internal controls, audit, or financial compliance (minimum). - Certifications (e.g., CPA, CISA) preferred.
