Job title: Trainee IT Service Desk/IT Support Technician – no experience needed Role Summary Entry‑level technical support role focused on diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving end‑user IT issues within an organization. Supports the stability and security of the IT environment while learning key IT service desk functions through hands‑on training and mentorship. Expactations - Complete government‑funded Skills Bootcamp and participate in scheduled training sessions. - Maintain professional customer‑service demeanor while handling routine support requests. - Document all incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system accurately and timely. - Work within defined SLA guidelines to ensure user productivity is restored quickly. Key Responsibilities - Respond to incoming service requests via phone, email, or ITSM portal. - Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and peripheral issues using remote tools and on‑site visits. - Log, prioritize, and track all service tickets until resolution. - Escalate complex problems to senior technicians or specialized teams as required. - Perform basic system maintenance tasks (e.g., installing patches, updating drivers). - Contribute to knowledge base articles and help documentation. Required Skills - Strong verbal and written communication. - Basic understanding of Windows, macOS, and common office software suites. - Ability to follow step‑by‑step troubleshooting procedures. - Customer‑service orientation and patience with users of all technical levels. - Quick learner and adaptable to new tools and processes.
