**Job Title:** Data Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and manage comprehensive enterprise data architecture for cloud-based payment solutions. Drive scalability, security, and integration across back‑end and front‑end applications, while advising on data strategy and performance optimization.

- Deliver robust, future‑ready data architecture that aligns with product and business goals.
- Lead technical direction for data warehouse, BI, and analytics initiatives.
- Partner with product, engineering, and operations teams to ensure high‑quality, performant data solutions.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, prototype, and deploy scalable database solutions on AWS or GCP.
- Define data models across SQL, NoSQL, and other storage technologies.
- Optimize query performance, index strategies, and database configurations.
- Author and review database code, ensuring readability, reliability, and compliance with standards.
- Conduct code review and provide mentorship to application developers.
- Create and maintain database documentation, ER diagrams, and system architecture artifacts.
- Troubleshoot performance issues, recommending hardware, configuration, or code changes.
- Collaborate on system and operational design, influencing application architecture.
- Advise on data flow, provisioning, and capture process optimization.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of data architecture and database design experience.
- Proven expertise in cloud compute platforms (AWS or GCP).
- Deep knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and modern database technologies.
- Strong SQL writing, query tuning, and performance analysis skills.
- Experience with ETL processes, data warehousing, and BI/analytics pipelines.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle, project management, and test techniques.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with cross‑functional teams.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications in cloud (AWS Solution Architect, GCP Professional Data Engineer, etc.) highly preferred.
