**Job title**
IT Systems Applications Manager (F/M)
**Role Summary**
Lead and oversee the organization’s application portfolio, ensuring planning, deployment, operation, and maintenance of software systems meet business, security, and quality standards. Direct a team of application specialists and coordinate with internal users and external vendors to deliver reliable, secure, and efficient application support.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage and develop the application team, setting objectives and performance metrics.
- Oversee application implementation, maintenance, and integration across the organization.
- Ensure application performance, security, and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Handle support operations, ensuring high customer satisfaction and timely issue resolution.
- Negotiate and maintain contracts with external suppliers and partners.
- Plan and execute application projects, monitoring scope, schedule, and resources.
- Deliver training, create documentation, and maintain knowledge bases for end users.
- Produce regular reports, dashboards, and activity summaries for senior management.
- Conduct technology monitoring and future‑proofing initiatives.
- Contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Information Systems and Digital Services department.
**Required Skills**
- Strong knowledge of application development, deployment, and maintenance processes.
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, system architecture, and security policies.
- Proven experience in managing vendor relationships and negotiating contracts.
- Project management proficiency, including planning, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
- Ability to coach and develop a technical team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting, public procurement, and financial controls (advantage).
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or equivalent are desirable.
