**Job Title:** Java Back-end Developer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high‑performance backend systems. Lead technical projects, enforce coding standards, mentor junior developers, and collaborate with product and stakeholder teams to deliver robust solutions aligned with business objectives. **Expectations:** - 5+ years of professional Java development experience. - Proven expertise in building and optimizing large‑scale, distributed systems. - Strong leadership and communication skills to guide teams and interact with non‑technical stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities:** - Architect and implement microservices and APIs using Java, Spring Boot, and related frameworks. - Ensure system scalability, maintainability, and security through best practices and code reviews. - Identify performance bottlenecks; conduct tuning and optimization for high‑load scenarios. - Design and enforce robust security controls and compliance measures. - Mentor junior and mid‑level developers; foster a collaborative growth environment. - Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to meet delivery timelines. - Stay current with emerging technologies; propose process and architectural improvements. **Required Skills:** - Advanced Java (concurrency, memory management, performance tuning). - Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate (or equivalent ORM). - Relational DBs (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL DBs (MongoDB, Cassandra); schema design and query optimization. - RESTful API design, HTTP, web security fundamentals. - Microservices architecture and asynchronous communication (AWS). - Build tools (Maven), IDEs (IntelliJ IDEA), version control (Bitbucket/Git). - Testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito, integration testing. - Containerization with Docker; cloud‑native deployment on AWS EC2. - Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and verbal/written communication abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Optional/beneficial: Oracle Certified Professional, Java SE; AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud certifications.
