Job Description
Job title: DevOps Engineer Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain automated delivery pipelines that enable fast, reliable, and repeatable software releases across the enterprise. Drive modern infrastructure practices, including containerization, configuration management, and observability, to support high availability, scalability, and performance. Expactations: * Proven ability to lead end-to-end automation initiatives in a collaborative, cross‑functional environment. * Deliver measurable improvements in deployment frequency, lead time, and system reliability. * Mentor peers on DevOps principles and tool adoption. Key Responsibilities: * Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Helm. * Deploy and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes, ensuring high availability and efficient resource use. * Set up and tune observability platforms (Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus) for dashboards, alerts, and root cause analysis. * Collaborate with development, QA, and architecture teams to define automation requirements and system dependencies. * Conduct infrastructure as code reviews and enforce security best practices. * Drive continuous improvement of deployment processes, incorporating single‑piece flow and other lean methodologies. Required Skills: * 5+ years in DevOps, Systems Engineering, or related roles. * Deep knowledge of CI/CD, Agile/Scrum, and the full SDLC. * Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Helm, Jenkins, and GitHub Actions. * Proficient with observation tools (Dynatrace, Datadog, Prometheus) and alerting dashboards. * Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, GitHub, and SonarQube. * Experience in scripting/automation using Java, Node.js, JavaScript, and basic networking. * Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus. * Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities. Required Education & Certifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (equivalent experience accepted). * Relevant certifications (e.g., Kubernetes Administrator, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Jenkins Engineer) are advantageous.
