Job Description: **Job title**: DevOps Engineer **Role Summary**: Own and expand cloud infrastructure supporting engineering teams. Design, deploy, and maintain AWS environments, run production Kubernetes clusters, and build automated pipelines that enable fast, reliable code delivery. **Expectations**: - Deliver secure, highly available infrastructure at scale. - Reduce incident recurrence through proactive monitoring and automation. - Continuously improve cost efficiency and performance. **Key Responsibilities**: - Design, deploy, and operate AWS cloud infrastructure (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation). - Administer production Kubernetes clusters; optimize container performance and resource utilization. - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins). - Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting; respond to incidents and conduct post‑mortems. - Automate infrastructure and configuration management with IaC (Terraform/Terragrunt, CloudFormation). - Enforce security controls and compliance (cloud security, networking, SOC II, GDPR, HIPAA). - Manage container registries, Docker image builds, and registry security. - Collaborate with engineering to integrate platform services into microservices architectures. - Optimize infrastructure spending and resource usage. **Required Skills**: - 2+ years DevOps experience. - Strong AWS expertise (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation). - Production Kubernetes administration and container orchestration. - Proficiency with Docker and container registries. - Hands‑on infrastructure as code (Terraform/Terragrunt). - CI/CD pipeline development (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins). - Scripting in Python and Bash. - Knowledge of cloud security, networking, and compliance. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional. - Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD) preferred.
