**Job Title**: Senior Machine Learning Engineer – Trust & Safety
**Role Summary**: Design, develop, and deploy large‑scale ML/AI systems to protect users through content moderation, fraud detection, and safety analytics. Lead the creation of retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) frameworks and multimodal models that process text, voice, audio, and image data for real‑time safety decision‑making.
**Expectations**:
- Build end‑to‑end production ML pipelines that operate at scale.
- Translate business safety requirements into AI‑driven solutions with minimal bias.
- Drive research into generative and multimodal models and communicate findings to stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Develop and fine‑tune large‑language models and multimodal neural networks for content moderation and fraud detection.
- Architect and maintain RAG systems that provide analytic insights and automation to product teams.
- Collaborate with product, data engineering, and trust & safety teams to define use cases, collect data, and validate model performance.
- Conduct bias and limitation analyses, propose mitigation strategies, and benchmark model outcomes.
- Produce reproducible research, technical documentation, and model release notes.
- Mentor junior engineers and peer‑review model developments.
**Required Skills**:
- 5–7 years professional experience in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
- Proven track record with generative AI models and multimodal AI pipelines (text, image, audio, video).
- Expertise in TensorFlow, PyTorch, PyTorch‑Lightning, and scalable training frameworks.
- Strong Python programming; familiarity with pandas, scikit‑learn, JAX, PySpark, and related libraries.
- Experience training models on large, complex datasets and deploying them in production environments.
- Deep understanding of model bias, fairness, and reliability testing.
- Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications**:
- Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a closely related field (PhD preferred but not required).
- No specific certifications required; industry conference participation (NeurIPS, ICLR, ACL, ICML) is a plus.
