Job Description
**Job Title** Service Desk Operator **Role Summary** Provide first‑line technical support to a diverse user base, handling incidents, service requests, and support inquiries through a ticketing system. Ensure timely resolution, document solutions, and maintain accurate records in alignment with defined service level agreements (SLAs). **Expectations** - Deliver prompt, courteous service to all users. - Maintain professionalism and accuracy in all interactions. - Adhere to established IT service management processes and security policies. - Continuously improve knowledge base and support documentation. **Key Responsibilities** - Receive, log, and categorize new incidents and service requests via phone, email, and ticketing system. - Conduct initial troubleshooting and resolve tier‑1 issues using predefined procedures. - Escalate unresolved cases to appropriate specialist teams while providing sufficient contextual information. - Monitor and manage ticket queue, ensuring compliance with SLA targets. - Communicate status updates to affected users and relevant stakeholders. - Maintain configuration, inventory, and asset records. - Update and author knowledge base articles to improve future support efficiency. - Participate in regular service desk reviews, metrics reporting, and process improvement initiatives. **Required Skills** - Strong verbal and written communication in English. - Troubleshooting skills for Windows operating systems, Office productivity suites, and email platforms. - Familiarity with Active Directory, basic network concepts, and common networking protocols. - Experience using service desk tools such as ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or other PLF-PRM platforms. - Ability to work effectively both independently and within a cross‑functional team. - High level of organizational skill and attention to detail. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. - ITIL Foundation certification (or equivalent IT service management qualification) preferred. - Vendor‑specific certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or equivalent are an advantage.
