**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Drug Discovery Services **Role Summary:** Drive revenue growth for Eurofins Discovery’s chemistry and pharmacology product and service portfolio within an assigned U.S. territory. Leverage deep knowledge of the drug‑discovery process to prospect, develop, and retain biotech/pharma clients, achieve sales targets, and enhance market presence. **Expectations:** - Meet or exceed regional sales quotas. - Maintain 30‑40% travel schedule for client engagements and events. - Ensure timely (≤24 hr) response to customer inquiries. - Accurately record activity and forecasts in the CRM. - Provide regular performance and competitive intelligence reports. **Key Responsibilities:** - Identify and qualify prospects needing drug‑discovery chemistry or pharmacology solutions. - Build and nurture client relationships through face‑to‑face meetings, webinars, and trade shows. - Develop and regularly update territory business plans to achieve sales goals. - Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to decision‑makers. - Collaborate with senior Eurofins Discovery leaders, marketing, and cross‑functional teams to align resources and promote the portfolio. - Track competitor activity and market trends; feed insights back to product and marketing teams. - Utilize all sales channels (website, e‑commerce, marketplaces) to generate pipeline. - Prepare monthly KPI reports and expense statements per company policy. **Required Skills:** - Proven B2B sales experience (3+ years) in pharma/biotech, specifically discovery chemistry or related services. - Strong understanding of the drug‑discovery workflow and scientific terminology. - Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities. - Ability to build strategic relationships and work collaboratively across functions. - Proficient in CRM usage and sales analytics. - Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and comfortable with frequent travel. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, Pharmacology, or a related scientific discipline (B.S. required). - No specific certifications mandated; industry‑relevant training or certifications are a plus.
