Job Description
Job title: Software Developer, Back End Role Summary: Owns complex backend challenges; builds, tests, and optimizes Python services, delivering solutions from concept to production while maintaining high code quality and performance. Expectations: Advanced Python expertise; mastery of FastAPI/Flask and both synchronous and asynchronous patterns; strong cloud and database experience; self‑directed, accountable, and proficient in end‑to‑end delivery. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python applications and services. • Write clean, testable, well‑documented code. • Debug, profile, and optimize existing systems for performance. • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define and implement solutions. • Participate in code reviews and technical discussions. • Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows. Required Skills: • Advanced Python programming, including FastAPI, Flask, async/sync paradigms. • Proficiency with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB. • Hands‑on experience with AWS services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, SNS, etc.). • Familiarity with distributed task frameworks (Celery or similar). • Strong testing mindset: unittest, pytest. • Version control expertise (Git). • CI/CD and automation proficiency. • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and ownership qualities. • Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion. • Optional: Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), containerization (Docker, ECS/EKS), event‑driven architecture, observability tools (CloudWatch, DataDog). Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). • Optional: AWS Certified Developer or similar cloud certification.
