Job Description
Job Title: Junior Cloud Engineer – Data & Analytics Role Summary: Provide technical support and development for a Microsoft‑based data & analytics platform, collaborating with Power BI developers, data pipeline analysts, and service management teams. Responsibilities include data source integration, security compliance, functional testing, documentation, and incident resolution within a cloud environment. Expectations: • Work cross‑functionally with solutions architects and business users. • Maintain data quality, reliability and accessibility. • Manage cloud configuration and support user insights generation. Key Responsibilities: - Rationalise and integrate multiple data sources into a secure, adaptive ecosystem. - Ensure security, reliability and architecture compliance with internal policies. - Perform functional testing of data flows, dashboards and reports; validate against business rules and quality standards. - Configure cloud services to enable business insight and measure outcomes. - Produce and maintain technical documentation for support processes and deliverables. - Assess new features and components for future‑proofing the production environment. - Troubleshoot production incidents and coordinate resolution using IT service management tools. - Contribute to BAU support while engaging in project workstreams. Required Skills: - Proficient in Microsoft Azure, PowerShell, Python, SQL and basic data manipulation. - Experience with Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, M365 administration and DevOps practices. - Strong analytical skills for exploratory data analysis and quality assessment. - Ability to produce clear, well‑structured documentation and follow project management processes. - Effective written and verbal communication in English. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Microsoft Azure Fundamentals or related cloud certification preferred.
