Job Description
**Job Title:** CMM Programmer **Role Summary:** Program and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) routines to support engineering and production quality for complex medical instruments. Collaborate with engineers, inspectors, and production staff to resolve quality issues, document inspections, and improve measurement procedures. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate, specification‑compliant CMM programs and inspection documentation. - Maintain high quality and safety standards, ensuring compliance with customer and ISO 9001 requirements. - Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing training and support to personnel. - Handle physical demands of operating and inspecting equipment, including stationary and repetitive tasks. **Key Responsibilities:** - Write, update, and maintain CMM programs per customer and company specifications. - Troubleshoot CMM software and coordinate with external technical support. - Assist engineers with qualification and validation of new/changed tooling or parts. - Prepare detailed inspection documentation, including deviations and results. - Develop and refine quality procedures as needed. - Conduct visual and dimensional inspections at various production stages; identify defects (scratches, burrs, surface finish, dimensional variances). - Notify leads of production issues and aid in corrective actions. - Train staff on efficient use of CMM equipment. - Quarantine non‑conforming parts and complete required paperwork for customer and quality compliance. **Required Skills:** - CMM programming (≥3 years experience). - Proficiency with GD&T and other inspection metrology tools. - Quality inspection and management experience (≥2 years). - Strong attention to detail and accuracy. - Basic knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management. - Ability to troubleshoot software and collaborate with technical support. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High School Diploma or equivalent (required). - Associate’s degree preferred. - No specific certifications mandated; knowledge of CMM programming and quality standards is essential.
