Job Description
**Job Title:** Business Development Manager – Lending Services **Role Summary:** Drive the expansion of the loan book within a defined postcode territory by prospecting new and existing businesses, building relationships, and closing lending deals. **Expectations:** - Achieve quarterly and annual sales targets for loan origination. - Grow the loan portfolio in line with company growth plans. - Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prospects. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prospect and acquire new business clients and nurture existing relationships. - Conduct needs analyses to recommend appropriate loan products. - Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and loan disclosures. - Negotiate terms and close loan agreements while ensuring compliance with regulations. - Maintain accurate records in the CRM and report on activity, pipeline, and results. - Collaborate with underwriting, risk, and operations teams to finalize deals. - Analyze market trends and competitor activity to refine strategies. **Required Skills:** - Proven sales or business‑development experience in financial services or lending. - Strong prospecting, lead generation, and networking ability. - Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. - Ability to build trust and long‑term relationships with business owners. - Competence in using CRM systems and business analytics tools. - Knowledge of loan products, underwriting criteria, and regulatory requirements. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. - Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience in a financial or lending environment. - Certifications such as Certified Credit Analyst (CCA) or equivalent are desirable but not mandatory.
