Job Description

Job Title: Information Technology Intern Role Summary: Provide hands‑on technical, administrative, and analytical support to the IT department, gaining experience in data integration, API/Python development, and help‑desk operations while contributing to process improvement initiatives. Expectations: • Current sophomore or junior in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related discipline. • Demonstrated interest in an IT career and basic course knowledge of IT concepts. • Able to commit 40 hours per week during the summer internship period. • Professional demeanor, clear communication, and strong organizational habits. • Capacity to work independently, exercise judgment, and recommend solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Partner with IT staff on projects in data & integration, API/Python development, and help‑desk support. • Conduct testing, monitoring, and analysis of IT procedures; report progress and results. • Maintain and update documentation of processes and procedures. • Research and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Required Skills: • Fundamental IT knowledge and familiarity with Python or similar scripting languages. • Competent data management and analytical skills. • Excellent written and verbal communication. • Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. • Physical ability to move equipment up to 25 lb and work in a primarily sedentary environment. Required Education & Certifications: • Enrolled as a sophomore or junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field. No specific certifications required.
