Job Description
**Job title** Business Analyst – Financial Services (Consultant) **Role Summary** Provide end‑to‑end business analysis and project management for digital transformation initiatives within a financial services client’s IT department, focusing on data governance, automation of financial controls, and development of data visualization interfaces. **Expectations** - Deliver high‑quality functional and technical specifications and technical documentation. - Ensure alignment between business needs and IT solutions, maintaining project schedules, budgets, and quality standards in an agile SCRUM environment. - Facilitate user adoption through training and change management activities. **Key Responsibilities** - Elicit, analyse, document, and validate business requirements. - Translate requirements into clear functional and technical specifications. - Coordinate with developers, QA, and deployment teams to ensure accurate implementation and timely release. - Act as liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring continuous communication. - Manage project artefacts: timelines, budgets, resource allocation, risk logs, and status reporting. - Lead workshops, facilitate discussions, and contribute to steering committees. - Train end‑users and create supporting documentation. - Monitor post‑governance data quality and support continuous improvement initiatives. **Required Skills** *Technical* - Strong knowledge of relational database design and data architecture. - Advanced SQL proficiency; familiarity with ETL tools and scripting for data extraction and transformation. - Experience with data preparation and visualization platforms (Dataiku, PowerBI). *Analytical* - Ability to synthesize complex data sets and derive actionable insights. - Rigorous, detail‑oriented approach to problem solving. - Strategic thinking and holistic project perspective. *Interpersonal* - Excellent communication and facilitation skills. - Proven team‑working and stakeholder engagement capabilities. - Customer‑centric mindset with strong service orientation. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s (equivalent to Bac+5) in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline. - Professional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or project management (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) are preferred but not mandatory.
