Job Description

Job title: Senior Azure Engineer Role Summary: Design, deploy, and maintain public‑cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure, driving secure, scalable, and automated solutions for enterprise workloads. Expectations: 3‑6 month contract with a clear path to full‑time employment; position is remote but operates within U.S. project teams. Key Responsibilities: - Architect and implement Azure services (VMs, AKS, ACI, Storage, Networking, etc.) to meet business requirements. - Automate resource provisioning and configuration using Terraform, ensuring idempotent and repeatable deployments. - Configure and manage Azure Identity and Access Management via Entra ID (Azure AD). - Apply cloud security best practices across all layers—IaC, runtime, and network—compliance with industry standards. - Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and performance issues, providing rapid resolution and continuous improvements. - Collaborate with DevOps, security, and development teams to embed security and automation throughout the pipeline. Required Skills: - 4+ years of Azure infrastructure/cloud development experience. - 3+ years with Terraform for infrastructure as code. - 4+ years in cloud security implementation and governance. - 2+ years managing Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD). - Strong networking and infrastructure background (VNet, NSG, firewall, DNS, routing). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent industry experience). - Preferred: Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., AZ‑104, AZ‑303, AZ‑304, AZ‑400).
