**Job Title** Public Affairs Intern **Role Summary** Support the founder of a climate‑sustainability startup dedicated to simplifying public documents. Deliver communication, stakeholder engagement, and policy advocacy activities to promote clear language initiatives across public and private sectors. **Expectations** * 2‑6 month internship, with 2–3 on‑site days (flexible schedule). * Direct supervision by the founder. * Actively contribute to media strategy, community building, partnership outreach, event planning, and content creation. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Monitor media, policy, and regulatory developments related to clear language, accessibility, and public‑service communication. 2. Re‑brand the organization from “startup” to socially‑engaged, championing its mission in public discourse. 3. Manage social‑media channels: create, schedule, and engage content to raise brand awareness. 4. Write and edit press releases, blog posts, institutional notes, and other written materials in clear, concise French and English. 5. Initiate, maintain, and nurture partnerships with local authorities, ministries, NGOs, and corporate stakeholders. 6. Plan, launch, and co‑organise events (webinars, round‑tables, workshops) that promote the platform's objectives. 7. Proposal and execution of additional initiatives that support communication and socio‑normative goals. **Required Skills** * Excellent written and verbal communication in French (native) and English. * Content creation, copy‑writing, and editorial workflow. * Social‑media strategy and community management. * Stakeholder engagement and partnership development. * Project management, organization, and ability to meet deadlines. * Analytical mindset for media and policy monitoring. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Law, Policy, or a related field. * Experience or coursework in public‑sector communication, advocacy, or regulatory affairs is highly desirable. ---
