Job Description
**Job Title:** Management Assistant Intern (Finance) **Role Summary:** Support the Administrative & Financial Manager within the Management division of a fast‑growing startup. Provide end‑to‑end assistance on client billing, monthly pre‑accounting, audit preparation, and accounting for investment holdings. Contribute to budget building, KPI reporting, financing dossiers, and process improvement projects while handling confidential financial data. **Expectations:** - 6‑month internship as part of a Corporate Finance/Business Administration program. - High level of rigor, efficiency, and attention to detail. - Discretion in handling confidential information. - Strong Excel skills and adaptability to new software tools. - Good communication in French; English proficiency and prior experience in social/ESS, startup or business development are a plus. **Key Responsibilities:** - Issue invoices, reconcile payments, and perform client follow‑ups. - Conduct monthly pre‑accounting in Pennylane: bank reconciliations and collection of accounting documents for the external accounting firm. - Assist in the year‑end closing and audit coordination for the 2025 fiscal year. - Manage accounting close for investment holdings: gather, archive, and transmit documents to the holdings’ accountants. - Organize annual General Assemblies of holdings and prepare related legal documentation. - Support budget construction, financial KPI preparation, and financing file compilation (loans, grants). - Propose and help implement process improvements within the Management division. **Required Skills:** - Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis). - Familiarity with accounting software (experience with Pennylane or similar). - Basic accounting knowledge (bank reconciliation, invoicing, month‑end close). - Strong organizational and time‑management abilities. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively with external accountants. - Confidentiality and professional discretion. - Good written and verbal communication in French; English competency desired. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. - Completion of the internship as a mandatory component of the study program. - No specific certifications required; willingness to learn and develop professional accounting skills.
