**Job Title**: CE Certification Engineer
**Role Summary**: Lead the end‑to‑end CE conformity process for industrial machinery, ensuring alignment with EU directives, harmonised standards, and safety regulations. Manage risk assessments, technical file creation, and ongoing regulatory monitoring to support product certification and market access.
**Expectations**: Deliver compliant, high‑quality manufacturing outputs, maintain accurate technical documentation, and proactively address changing regulatory requirements. Demonstrate leadership in safety engineering, documentation practices, and cross‑functional coordination.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform systematic risk analysis (risk matrix, hazard identification) for all machinery components and processes.
- Define, document, and validate safety measures and performance parameters in accordance with applicable EU directives and harmonised standards.
- Compile, maintain, and update the technical dossier (product description, drawings, calculations, test reports, risk assessments, labels, instructions) required for CE marking.
- Conduct continuous regulatory surveys, track updates to directives (e.g., Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, Construction Products Regulation) and harmonised norms (EN ISO 12100, EN 71, etc.).
- Coordinate with design, production, quality, and legal teams to ensure early integration of CE requirements and timely resolution of compliance gaps.
- Prepare and present compliance evidence to external bodies (notified bodies, authorities) during audits and certification examinations.
- Maintain an audit trail, internal records, and documentation indices compliant with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
**Required Skills**
- Deep understanding of EU machinery and safety directives and harmonised standards.
- Proficient in risk assessment methodologies, safety engineering, and technical documentation.
- Experience with technical file assembly and maintenance for industrial equipment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
- Project management and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple certification cycles simultaneously.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 quality management and documentation control systems.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Product Safety, or related field.
- Significant experience (≥3–5 years) in an industrial or machinery manufacturing environment, with demonstrable CE certification responsibilities.
- Professional certifications related to safety engineering or quality management (e.g., Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor) are desirable but not mandatory.
