Job Description
Job Title: Intern – Software Developer Role Summary Software Development Intern responsible for end‑to‑end validation of airside and ground network systems using AI tooling. Supports development of inflight communication software, focuses on networking, scripting, and automation pipelines. Expectations - Successfully complete assigned validation projects within summer internship timeframe. - Demonstrate ownership of coding tasks, testing, and documentation. - Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and adhere to agile practices. - Maintain compliance with corporate safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities - Design and execute automated network validation tests for LEO/GEO satellite communications. - Develop and maintain Python scripts and GitLab CI/CD pipelines for test automation. - Analyze network performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and propose improvements. - Contribute to incremental enhancements of test suites and software quality processes. - Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand‑ups. - Document test results, system configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Required Skills - Proficiency in Python programming and version control with Git/GitLab. - Solid foundation in Linux operating systems and networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, IP addressing, routing). - Experience with automated testing frameworks and AI‑based validation tools. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced, on‑site environment. Required Education & Certifications - Current enrollment as a full‑time student in a four‑year accredited institution, pursuing a degree in Networking, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. - No specific certifications required, but knowledge of networking protocols and CI/CD pipelines is essential.
