Job Title: IT Project Director
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end deployment of critical SaaS software solutions for large public sector clients, ensuring projects meet contractual obligations, stay on schedule and budget, and achieve high user satisfaction.
Expectations:
Deliver complex, multi‑stakeholder projects on time, within budget, and with quality outcomes; maintain strong client relationships and governance; adhere to public sector regulatory requirements; continuously improve processes and contribute to evolving service offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct end‑to‑end SaaS deployment projects from scoping and design through final rollout to end users.
- Build and monitor detailed project plans, budgets, resource allocations, and risk registers.
- Apply and adapt project management methodologies; produce clear deliverables and performance indicators.
- Chair project steering committees, governance forums, and executive briefings.
- Serve as primary liaison for client leadership (IT, business, legal), delivering structured, pedagogic communication; handle escalations, delays, scope changes, and trade‑offs.
- Coordinate internal teams including project leads, functional consultants, support, R&D, and QA; enforce quality and contractual compliance.
- Ensure compliance with public sector constraints: procurement law, GDPR, security, data sovereignty, and service‑level commitments.
- Capture lessons learned, refine tools and methods, and inform internal innovation discussions (AI, automation, new modules).
Required Skills:
- 7+ years leading complex, highly contractual SaaS projects.
- Proficiency in PM frameworks (PMI, Prince2, Agile).
- Strong client relationship, negotiation, diplomacy, and pedagogical communication.
- Cross‑functional team leadership and stakeholder coordination.
- Risk, budget, and resource management.
- Knowledge of public sector procurement and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, data sovereignty).
- Analytical, problem‑solving, and decisive decision‑making.
- Continuous improvement mindset and innovation advocacy.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (equivalent to Bac+5) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Project Management, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certification (PMP, Prince2 Practitioner, or equivalent) preferred.
- Understanding of public sector regulatory requirements is an asset.
