Job Description
**Job Title** Quality Control Analyst/Tester (6‑Month Contract) **Role Summary** Execute and manage manual and automated testing for low‑code business applications, ensuring quality across workflows, integrations, and data. Work with Azure DevOps for test planning, defect tracking, and release readiness in an agile, cross‑functional environment. **Expectations** - Deliver end‑to‑end functional, regression, integration, data, security, and performance tests. - Build and maintain traceable test artifacts linked to user stories. - Develop automation scripts for UI and API validation to scale regression coverage. - Communicate defects and test status clearly to developers, analysts, and stakeholders. - Participate in agile ceremonies and proactively identify risks. **Key Responsibilities** - Define and maintain test strategies, plans, and schedules for business application releases. - Create, manage, and execute test suites and cases in Azure DevOps Test Plans. - Design and implement automated test scripts (UI/API) using Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or equivalent. - Validate acceptance criteria with Business Analysts and technical feasibility with Architects. - Perform end‑to‑end scenario testing across application, flow, data, and integration layers. - Log, triage, and track defects in Azure DevOps; recommend severity, prioritization, and retest confirmation. - Provide test completion reports, defect summaries, and go/no‑go input for release readiness. - Engage in planning, refinement, demos, and retrospectives; advise on test effort and risk. - Continuously improve QC practices, reusable test assets, automation coverage, and test data management. **Required Skills** - ≥4 years of QC/testing experience (manual & automation). - Proficient with Azure DevOps Test Management (plans, suites, cases, defects, reporting). - Tested low‑code/SaaS/web applications with complex workflows and data rules. - Strong test design fundamentals (boundary, negative, regression, risk‑based). - Automation expertise – Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar frameworks. - API testing with Postman/Newman, REST‑Assured, or equivalent; validate JSON payloads and connector outputs. - Database validation using T‑SQL, Fetch, or similar data query methods. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills with developers and analysts. - Attention to detail, structured analytical mindset, ownership of end‑to‑end quality, and proactive risk identification. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Professional certifications preferred: Microsoft PL‑400 or PL‑200, or relevant QA certifications (e.g., ISTQB). ---
