Job Title: Dishwasher Role Summary: Supports kitchen operations by performing thorough dishwashing, sanitation, and basic food preparation tasks, ensuring a clean and safe working environment for efficient culinary service. Key Responsibilities: - Load, operate, and unload commercial dishwashing equipment, maintaining cleanliness of dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen surfaces. - Dispose of waste and hazardous materials following safety guidelines. - Restock cleaning supplies, detergents, and kitchen utensils. - Assist with prep of simple ingredients (washing produce, portioning). - Maintain organized and sanitized work station and adhere to sanitation schedules. - Report equipment malfunctions or supply shortages to kitchen staff. Required Skills: - Team‑oriented mindset and strong work ethic. - Basic knowledge of food safety and health regulations. - Physical stamina for standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and operating heavy equipment. - Attention to detail and timely task completion. - Willingness to learn kitchen procedures and participate in training. Required Education & Certifications: - High school diploma or equivalent. - Completion of food safety or health‑and‑safety training (e.g., HACCP, WHMIS) preferred. - No formal culinary degree required.
