Job Description
Job Title: Commercial Senior & Team Leader – Freight Forwarding Role Summary Lead commercial growth in international freight forwarding, targeting SMEs and large accounts on import/export routes. Design multimodal solutions, negotiate contracts, maintain partner network, and mentor junior sales staff. Expectations * Drive revenue and market share growth. * Deliver high‑value consulting and customized freight solutions. * Meet or exceed annual sales targets and profitability metrics. * Build and sustain a pipeline of qualified prospects. * Foster a collaborative sales culture and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities * Prospect, qualify, and close new accounts across all transport modes. * Conduct needs analysis to design tailored multimodal shipping solutions (air, sea, road). * Lead complex negotiations, finalize contracts, and secure favorable terms. * Develop and maintain relationships with international partners and agents. * Manage CRM data, report activity, and contribute to sales forecasting. * Coach, train, and supervise junior sales representatives. * Provide technical support on rate quotes and negotiation tactics. * Participate in setting annual objectives and reviewing performance metrics. Required Skills * Minimum 5 years experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales. * Deep knowledge of Incoterms, international shipping regulations, and multimodal operations. * Proven sales track record with large and SME accounts. * Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills. * Fluent in English; additional languages a plus. * Excellent communication, autonomy, teamwork, and persuasive ability. * Proficient with CRM systems and sales analytics tools. Required Education & Certifications * Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or related field. * Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CPC, BCT, or equivalent) preferred.
