**Job Title**: Information Security Intern **Role Summary**: Assist the Information Security team with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) and Cybersecurity Operations. Gain hands‑on experience in vendor risk management, security compliance auditing, incident triage, and security tool administration within a professional services environment. **Expectations**: - Full‑time, 30 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. - Enrolled in a 4‑year university/college, pursuing a degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. - Demonstrate strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. **Key Responsibilities**: 1. **GRC Support** - Evaluate new vendor requests and review vendor security documentation. - Maintain and update vendor inventory database. - Collect, log, and track evidence for ISO certification audits. - Administer security awareness training and run phishing simulations. 2. **Cybersecurity Operations** - Participate in initial triage and escalation of security alerts. - Monitor and investigate alerts from Endpoint Detection & Response (EDR) tools. - Conduct vulnerability scanning, report findings, and follow remediation workflows. - Assist with deployment, configuration, and testing of security tools. - Capture, retain, and analyze log data for incident analysis. 3. **Cross‑Functional Collaboration** - Use project management platforms (e.g., Asana) to track security initiatives. - Coordinate with IT teams to gather information on security controls and infrastructure. - Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and job aids. **Required Skills**: - Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10. - Excellent attention to detail and organization. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Ability to work independently and within a team. - Clear written and verbal communication. **Preferred Knowledge**: - Understanding of access controls, encryption, network security, and cloud delivery models. - Experience with project management tools or methodologies. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Currently enrolled full‑time in a 4‑year university/college. - Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. ---
