Job Description
Job Title: Python Developer Intern Role Summary: Assist in designing, developing, and maintaining Python pipelines for modeling and digitizing traffic intersections, and enhancing geospatial data processing workflows. Expectations: - Deliver functional code and documentation within sprint cycles. - Demonstrate ownership of tasks, proactively identifying and resolving issues. - Collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers on integration of traffic simulation tools. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain Python pipelines to create, detect anomalies, and automate solutions for traffic light intersections. - Optimize existing modules for geospatial data preparation (GeoJSON, Shapefile, etc.). - Integrate state‑of‑the‑art traffic simulators (e.g., SUMO, CityFlow) and benchmark their performance. - Conduct unit and integration testing, and contribute to continuous integration pipelines. - Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback. Required Skills: - Strong proficiency in Python; experience with Pandas, NumPy, and NetworkX. - Familiarity with geospatial data formats (GeoJSON, Shapefile). - Knowledge of traffic simulation tools (SUMO, CityFlow) is a plus. - Experience with version control (Git), issue tracking, and agile development practices. - Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Enrolled in or graduate from an engineering school, university, or equivalent Master’s program in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field. ---
