Job Description
**Job title:** Senior Data Scientist **Role Summary:** Lead the development of advanced analytics, machine learning models, forecasting tools, and data products to drive strategic and operational decisions. Design and maintain scalable data pipelines, standardize data practices, and create interactive dashboards that visualize key performance indicators. Mentor team members and ensure analytics initiatives align with enterprise data strategy. **Expectations:** - 10+ years of professional experience in data analytics, statistical modeling, or machine learning. - Proven expertise in developing predictive models and dashboards using Power BI, Qlik, or Tableau. - Strong programming skills in Python, R, and SQL, with the ability to process large structured and unstructured datasets. - Active Secret Security Clearance. - Ability to collaborate with IT, program management, and finance teams to support data‑driven decisions. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and deploy predictive models and forecasting tools using statistical and ML techniques. - Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines for structured and unstructured data sources. - Create and govern interactive dashboards and visualizations to track performance metrics. - Lead data standardization, quality assurance, and automation initiatives. - Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data scientists and analysts. - Align analytics projects with the organization’s data strategy and governance policies. **Required Skills:** - Advanced statistical modeling and machine learning. - Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Qlik, Tableau). - Experience handling large, complex datasets and building scalable data pipelines. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. - Leadership or mentorship experience in a data science or analytics team. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field. - Active Secret Security Clearance (required).
