Job title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Role Summary:
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable, secure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for a multi‑product SaaS platform. Drive standardization across Windows and Linux environments, automate manual workflows, and mentor junior engineers.
Expectations:
- 5+ years of professional DevOps practice.
- Proven ownership of end‑to‑end delivery pipelines and production operations.
- Deep expertise in AWS, Terraform/CDK, containers (ECS, EKS, AppRunner), & serverless.
- Strong coding skills in C#, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for .NET applications.
- Provision and manage AWS infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CDK).
- Deploy, monitor, and scale containerised services on ECS/EKS/AppRunner.
- Manage SQL Server on RDS, including backups, replicas, and performance tuning.
- Implement high‑availability, disaster‑recovery, and incident‑response playbooks.
- Automate patching, upgrades, and configuration drift mitigation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate serverless components.
- Write and maintain documentation, playbooks, and operational runbooks.
- Mentor and coach other DevOps staff to enforce best practices.
Required Skills:
- AWS administration & ecosystem (EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFormation).
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform &/or AWS CDK.
- Container orchestration (ECS, EKS, AppRunner).
- .NET deployment & monitoring (App Insights, OpenTelemetry).
- SQL Server design, performance, and backup strategies.
- Serverless architecture design and maintenance.
- CI/CD tooling (GitLab, Git, pipelines).
- Configuration management (Ansible, Chef, etc.).
- Scripting in C#, Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and documentation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or similar validated credentials preferred.
