Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Design, build, and maintain CI/CD infrastructures for optical embedded systems, ensuring rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery across cloud and on‑prem environments.
Expectations: Deliver fully automated pipelines that reduce release cycle time by 30 %+, maintain system uptime >99.9 %, and achieve compliance with security and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Bitbucket Pipelines or Bamboo for embedded firmware releases.
- Automate build, test, and deployment workflows for optical embedded software, integrating unit, integration, and real‑time tests.
- Develop and manage containerized delivery environments (Docker, Kubernetes) tailored to embedded applications.
- Provision and provision infrastructure via Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools for both cloud and on‑prem deployments.
- Monitor performance, reliability, and logs with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK, and perform proactive tuning.
- Collaborate with embedded software and hardware teams to integrate updates seamlessly and maintain system security across the DevOps lifecycle.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years in DevOps, embedded software, or systems engineering with expertise in optical embedded systems.
- Proficiency with Bitbucket Pipelines or Bamboo, Git, GitHub, or Bitbucket for version control.
- Advanced scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for automation.
- Deep understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), Linux environments, and orchestration.
- Experience in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) and cloud/on‑prem hybrid deployments.
- Strong monitoring, logging, and performance tuning skills for embedded applications (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance in DevOps processes.
Required Education & Certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. No specific certifications required but relevant DevOps or embedded systems credentials are a plus.
