Job Description
**Job Title:** Production Engineer Internship (Male/Female) **Role Summary:** An engineering internship within the Pumps Hygiene & Industry service, focused on continuous improvement of the PHI assembly workshop. The intern will analyze existing processes, implement Lean initiatives (5S, visual management, standardization), support the OSER project for assembly process optimization, develop action plans, conduct change management activities, and produce detailed procedures and training materials. **Expectations:** - Full‑time commitment for 6 months (35 hours per week). - Strong drive to work on the shop floor, collaborate with operators, and apply technical knowledge to tangible improvement projects. - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving production environments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Assess current production processes and identify optimization levers such as flow, ergonomics, OEE, and workstation management. - Lead Lean projects (5S, visual management, standardization, cycle‑time reduction, waste elimination). - Contribute to the OSER project aimed at refining and standardizing the assembly line. - Develop and execute concrete action plans with frontline teams. - Facilitate change management, train operators, and promote best practices. - Draft procedures, work instructions, and training support documents. **Required Skills:** - Strong technical curiosity and hands‑on mindset. - Basic knowledge of Lean manufacturing tools (5S, visual management, process mapping). - Analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Team‑player attitude and willingness to engage with shop‑floor staff. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and PowerPoint. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrolment in an engineering program (Bachelor or Master) – preferably in the final year. - Focus areas such as mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or related disciplines.
