Job Description
**Job Title:** Senior Business Development Manager **Role Summary:** Strategic, consultative sales leader responsible for expanding market presence across North America by selling a full suite of environmental services to clients in life sciences, industrial manufacturing, higher education, and healthcare. Drives revenue growth through prospecting, relationship building, and delivering compliant, high‑value solutions. **Expectations:** - Achieve and exceed sales targets and uncapped commission potential. - Maintain a high level of sales activity and pipeline integrity within the assigned region. - Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings, including regional travel and occasional overnight stays. - Ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to regulatory standards (RCRA, OSHA, etc.). **Key Responsibilities:** - Master and promote all service lines, coordinating with technical and operations teams to craft tailored solutions. - Conduct strategic prospecting: networking, referrals, trade shows, and cold calling of target accounts. - Build and nurture long‑term relationships with key decision‑makers in target sectors. - Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes to provide informed advice to clients. - Manage opportunities and activities in CRM, tracking pipeline stages and forecasting revenue. - Deliver presentations and proposals that address client compliance and performance needs. **Required Skills:** - Proven consultative sales success (3+ years), preferably in environmental services. - Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing abilities. - Familiarity with Sandler sales methodology or similar structured approach. - Ability to translate technical/regulatory information into business value. - Excellent communication, networking, and relationship‑building skills. - Self‑starter with high urgency, accountability, and ability to work autonomously. - Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office suite. - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, or related field. - Knowledge of environmental compliance regulations (RCRA, OSHA) or willingness to become a subject‑matter expert. - Any relevant sales or environmental certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
