Job Title: Infrastructure Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain cloud‑native infrastructure that powers autonomous manufacturing facilities. Deliver scalable, secure, and resilient solutions across AWS, Kubernetes, and edge environments, enabling AI‑driven production and rapid deployment of services.
Expactations: • Own end‑to‑end infrastructure lifecycles, from IaC to production operations. • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of multi‑region, multi‑site deployments. • Collaborate with software, DevOps, and manufacturing teams to align infrastructure with business needs. • Actively participate in on‑call rotation, incident response, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and manage AWS infrastructure using Terraform for multi‑region deployments.
- Deploy and operate Kubernetes (EKS) clusters for production workloads.
- Create CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions/GitLab for 50+ repositories.
- Implement GitOps workflows with ArgoCD for automated deployments.
- Configure site‑to‑site networking (VPN, Direct Connect) and edge Kubernetes clusters on the factory floor.
- Automate IoT device provisioning and configuration management.
- Develop monitoring dashboards and alerting using Prometheus and Grafana.
- Apply infrastructure security best practices and maintain compliance controls.
- Script operational tasks in Python, Go, or Bash.
- Document infrastructure patterns, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
- Optimize cloud cost and resource utilization.
- Support manufacturing systems that require real‑time performance.
Required Skills:
- Deep experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, etc.).
- Proficiency in Kubernetes operations, troubleshooting, and cluster management.
- Advanced Terraform skills, including module development.
- Strong CI/CD pipeline design and automation experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Knowledge of GitOps principles and tools (ArgoCD).
- Scripting expertise in Python, Go, or Bash.
- Solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, routing).
- Familiarity with monitoring, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
- Understanding of security practices, compliance, and incident response.
- Excellent documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and drive projects to completion.
- Experience in manufacturing or IoT environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) is a plus.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, *or* equivalent practical experience.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), or Terraform Associate are desirable but not mandatory.
