Job Description
Job Title: Senior Software Engineer Role Summary: Design, develop, test, and manage application development projects supporting IT infrastructure. Lead technical efforts under architect direction, handle large‑scale data processing, statistical modeling, advanced analytics, and integrate third‑party components programmatically. Drive process improvement and automation, participate throughout the SDLC, conduct architecture reviews, estimate resources, and mentor teammates. Expectations: - Deliver high‑quality software solutions that meet functional and performance requirements. - Enhance existing codebase and create new custom capabilities. - Recommend and implement process improvements and automation. - Effectively communicate with stakeholders, respond with urgency, and manage multiple concurrent tasks. Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, test, and maintain scalable applications. - Programmatically integrate external components and services. - Modify and refactor existing code to improve functionality and performance. - Lead or participate in architectural design sessions and technical milestone reviews. - Estimate project resources and timelines. - Apply best practices in development, testing, QA, and deployment. - Automate operations and maintenance workflows. - Mentor and transfer knowledge to team members. - Ensure compliance with security requirements (Active Top Secret with SCI). Required Skills: - 8+ years of professional software development and application management. - Strong application design, development, testing, and management expertise. - Experience with Microsoft 365 Power Platform, SharePoint, and large‑scale data processing. - Proficiency in statistical modeling and advanced analytics. - Ability to conduct architecture reviews and resource estimation. - Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Proficient in Microsoft and Adobe toolsets (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Acrobat). - Self‑starter capable of independent and team work. - Background check clearance; Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility required. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. - Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. - Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
