**Job Title:** Embedded Linux Engineer **Role Summary:** Develop and integrate embedded Linux systems, focusing on device driver development for GPIO, display, and audio subsystems. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver robust, cutting‑edge hardware/software solutions on a contract basis (≈3 months) with potential for full‑time conversion. **Expectations:** - Minimum 5 years experience in embedded Linux development. - Ability to work onsite (≥4 days/week) and communicate effectively with engineers and designers. - Deliver high‑quality driver code, test suites, and documentation within project timelines. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, implement, and validate Linux device drivers (GPIO, display, audio). - Develop and maintain device tree files and overlays for target hardware. - Write C/C++ test applications to exercise driver functionality. - Interpret schematics and board layouts to ensure correct hardware/software integration. - Troubleshoot and debug driver issues using standard Linux debugging tools. - Coordinate with hardware and firmware teams to align driver development with system requirements. **Required Skills:** - Embedded Linux system development (5+ years). - Strong knowledge of Linux kernel driver architecture and device tree concepts. - Proficiency in C/C++ for driver and test code development. - Experience with GPIO, display, and audio driver implementation. - Ability to read and understand electronic schematics and PCB layouts. - Solid understanding of basic electronic design principles. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. - No specific certifications required.
