Job Description
**Job Title:** IT Infrastructure Manager **Role Summary:** Spearhead the design, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement of on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure. Lead a small IT team to ensure high availability, performance, and security of networks, servers, cloud services, and end‑user technologies. **Expectations:** * Deliver reliable, scalable infrastructure that aligns with business goals. * Lead and mentor a concise IT team while collaborating with cross‑functional stakeholders. * Drive continuous improvement and automation initiatives across all environments. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, implement, and manage network, server, storage, and cloud architectures. * Oversee day‑to‑day operations: system monitoring, capacity planning, patching, backups, and disaster recovery. * Collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices and compliance requirements. * Plan and execute infrastructure projects—Upgrades, migrations, new deployments—within defined budgets and timelines. * Evaluate and integrate new technologies (e.g., containers, IaC tools, DevOps pipelines). * Provide tier‑2/3 technical support and incident resolution. * Create and maintain detailed documentation (diagrams, runbooks, SOPs). * Negotiate with vendors and manage contractual relationships. **Required Skills:** * Deep knowledge of network topologies, TCP/IP, routing, VLANs, security zones. * Proficient with server OS (Windows Server, Linux) and virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V). * Experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) – architecture, services, IAM, cost optimization. * Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). * Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, Python). * Monitoring/alerting platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Zabbix). * Backup/recovery solutions (Veeam, Acronis, cloud‑native). * Incident management, troubleshooting, and root‑cause analysis. * Leadership, team management, communication, and stakeholder engagement. **Required Education & Certifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. * Professional certifications are strongly preferred: - CCNA / CCNP (Cisco) - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator / Engineer Associate - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional - VMware Certified Professional (VCP) - (Optional) Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent. ---
